Welcome to my Summer Camp Series! I will posting all about Summer Camp for the next TWELVE DAYS! You won’t want to miss this series.
So if you are wondering if you should look at summer camp programs for your children this summer this series will give you a lot of information. My children usually attend at least one summer camp of various kinds in our area, and they have a blast.
I am also giving away a free summer camp packing guide below!
If you have been looking up summer camp for your child, you might have also seen that online camps are available. These are centered around a variety of activities just like stay-away camps, but you get the benefit of keeping your child at home. This not only benefits your child, but you as well. Here are some reasons to consider enrolling them in an online summer camp.
They Are More Affordable
Are you struggling to send your child to summer camp because of how expensive it is? If so, you’re not alone! A lot of parents have this problem because their local camps are just not in the budget.
Luckily, your child can still enjoy many of the benefits of camp, all while saving you quite a bit of money. Online summer camps are sometimes free, while others require a small fee for participation. However, it is nothing compared to the local summer camps.
Shy Children Have a Way to Enjoy Camp
Some children don’t enjoy summer camps as much because they tend to be shy and withdrawn, and don’t feel comfortable being around so many kids. It can be hard for them to make friends, and they often want to hide in their cabin until camp is over.
If you believe your kid won’t have a good time at a standard summer camp, you should definitely consider online camp. They can have fun experiences over their summer break with other kids that might also struggle with the same thing. It is a completely safe and protected space online as well, where you can monitor everything. This is an excellent alternative.
They Still Have Time For Family Activities
When your child attends an online camp, they are still home with you for the entire summer. This is ideal if you want to plan other activities with the family, but also help your child learn and grow along with a summer camp.
They can send a little time each day online with their other camp buddies, but spend the rest of the time in the comfort of their home and going out on adventures with you and the rest of the family. It might also help knowing you can see that they are safe and happy at all times.
There Are Lots of Themes to Choose From
A fun thing about online summer camps is that there are many different themes for your child to choose from. You can find everything from creative themes for kids who love to write, draw and paint, to math and science themes, space themes, and even Minecraft themes.
As you can see, online camps can be a great option for your child! Consider looking into different themes and specialties that will keep your child entertained even from the comfort of their own bedroom.
