Foreign language is almost a necessary tool we need in our world today, but teaching it can be tricky, especially if it is not your first language. Middlebury Interactive Languages takes the guess work out of teaching foreign language to our children, they have a program that is phenomenal at teaching this. I was asked to review the elementary Spanish Courses with my first grader, but whats really funny is that the whole family loved learning with her. Middlebury Interactive language courses are great!

What is Middlebury Interactive Languages:

The K-2 language course is designed specifically for your younger learners in your home, or for those who are being exposed to foreign language for the first time.

Middlebury Interactive Languages does a terrific job using stories, myths, and legends from the cultures they are teaching . They use songs, interactive story lessons, lessons, games, and fun activities to reinforce the vocabulary words they are learning.

Your children will also have the ability to plug in a microphone and record themselves reciting the new words they are learning, this is great so they can hear themselves and adjust the sound of the words they are learning and trying to speak.

What we thought:

We absolutely loved the K-2 Spanish Courses. When I first logged onto the site I was pleasantly surprised at how bright and fun the graphics are. My kids we instantly wondering what this Spanish course was all about.

I streamed the course on my television so we all could go through the first few lessons together because they all wanted to see what it was all about.

They loved the interactive stories that were in Spanish, and the games. They were arguing who was going to play the games. ( Each membership is for one child, we collectively did the lessons together, but my younger child did the review. You will need to purchase a membership for each child.)

I loved that everything is all in one place. The lessons, practice, reviews, and grading are all in the dashboard. This is great for your personal records, and it also helps you to not have more work that needs to be graded.

Another featured I really liked was the calendar. They have a calendar that maps out the courses for you and helps you with lesson planning. It will show a check mark for the courses that have been completed so you will know what is finished and what needs to be done.
